To offer bookings with airlines that do not have agreements with each other, Wings provides the option to perform searches by separate segments, creating separate reservations in the source but unified under a single booking code in Starlings. This option is available only for round-trip flights, and the search will yield one-way fares for each segment of the trip.
To search by segments:
- Select "Return" as the type of trip.
- Choose "Book as two one-ways."
The booking process will be divided into steps, allowing you to select the desired flight for each segment and complete the confirmation for the entire trip.
In each step, you can use Wings filters such as source, POS, airlines, and more.
Step 1: Select the outbound flight
Step 2: Select the return flight
Once the selection is confirmed, you will need to complete the reservation details. The form will request the necessary information to finalize both the outbound and return segments of the reservation.
On the right side of the screen, you will be able to see the details of each reserved segment with a breakdown of prices and the total amount for the reservation.
At checkout, when selecting the payment method, it can be done by segment:
The reservation will be confirmed under a code known as “Starlings reference” starting with the letter "S".
To verify that each segment has been booked correctly, ensure that each segment has a green checkmark.
Once the reservation is confirmed, you can find it in Starlings > Bookings with its reference number. You can view the summary of the entire reservation as well as by segment by selecting the tabs at the top left.
You will also have access to all Wings functionalities for each segment, such as sending the itinerary, issuing, canceling, modifying payment information, and more.
To identify and manage or view each reservation, you can search by the "Starlings reference" in the reservations list.
You can also search by locator and view the details of each reservation separately from Wings > Bookings.
